Although he is revered in the Coptic community as a spiritual father, many people look to the office of the Coptic Orthodox Pope in Egypt as a key political player in Egyptian politics. Sherif Rizk sat down with Mina Riad, a prominent Egyptian blogger and activist, to discuss whether the Pope really does have a political role and, if so, how this came to be.
