Episode 4 – El Sisi In the Neighbourhood

On the evening of January 6, 2015, as Coptic Christians were celebrating the Nativity Feast, a historic event took place. Egyptian president Abdel Fattah El Sisi became the first president in history to personally attend to the Coptic Cathedral in Cairo to wish Christians a Merry Christmas. Copts celebrated the historic occasion, but after the excitement has settled down, it’s time to assess whether this visit is an indication of a change on the horizon, or just politics.
